Since June 2025, we have been offering our four-legged guests our new agility dog course.
Right next to the Alpenhotel Karwendel, a lovingly designed agility course awaits you and your furry friend—securely fenced in and only 100 meters from the hotel.
Equipped with
- A-frame, catwalk, seesaw
- a 6-meter-long tunnel,
- slalom course, and ten hurdles
it offers ideal conditions for playful training, shared activities, and lots of fun. This way, your dog can enjoy the vacation too!
We are delighted that Florian from Hundeflo has entered into a partnership with us.
We are now official partners of Hundeflo dog trainers. For our
guests, this means that from 2026 onwards, there will be regular dog workshops and training sessions in Leutasch.
Our hotel has been chosen as the base in Tyrol.

For respectful coexistence between two-legged and four-legged friends
- Our four-legged friends must be kept on a leash throughout the hotel grounds (except for the agility course).
- To ensure that other guests are not disturbed, we keep our four-legged friends away from the sunbathing areas, pond, and pool.
The exception is the sunbathing lawn around our log cabin (please keep dogs on a leash). - Your furry friend is no louder than their two-legged companion.
- If your dog is alone in the room, please hang the "do not disturb" sign outside. This will help us avoid unpleasant encounters between two-legged and four-legged guests during room cleaning.
- We recommend that you take out liability insurance for dog owners. This means you won't have to worry about any damage caused at our wellness hotel.
Although we assume that you will be bringing a well-behaved dog, we must point out that any damage to the facilities will be documented and invoiced. - In the event of unusual soiling of the room, an additional final cleaning fee of €80 will be charged.
- Our four-legged friends must always stay on the floor in the room. A dog blanket is provided for this purpose. Beds, couches, and armchairs are for two-legged guests only.
- The waste left behind by our four-legged friends MUST be disposed of in the containers provided for this purpose!
- Leutasch has its own off-leash area for dogs.
- Dogs are welcome throughout the Seefeld region.
- There are places where you can swim with your dog.
- There are places to stop for refreshments with your dog.
- All golf courses in the region are dog-friendly.
- Many activities with dogs are possible, including hiking, cross-country skiing, and winter hiking!
- Dog supplies can be found in Seefeld. There are two specialist shops there.
Basic information about your vacation with your dog
- We currently do not allow more than eight dogs in the hotel at the same time (1 dog per room). Please check with us before booking to see if we still have space for your four-legged friend at the desired time.
- At our Karwendel Berglodge with apartments (100 meters away), more than one dog per apartment is welcome!
- We charge €20 per dog per day (without food).
- We kindly ask you to leave your beloved four-legged friend in your room during breakfast and dinner.
Of course, you are welcome to enjoy breakfast and dinner on the sun terrace and bring your four-legged companion with you.
- You are welcome to bring your dog into our hotel lobby before and after meal times!
- You can purchase all the essentials for your vacation with your four-legged friend in our hotel shop at the reception desk!
- Dog sitters can be arranged on request (for a fee).
- If you would like to go hiking with your dog:
Many Austrian hiking trails are signposted as requiring dogs to be kept on a leash. Please check in advance whether the route is suitable for your dog or whether dogs are not allowed at all. For safety reasons, it is better to use a harness instead of a simple collar for alpine hikes.
