Our latest expansion project provided us with the opportunity to join forces with our local business partners and set our course to a sustainable future.
In concrete terms, this means we’re making a conscious effort to preserve resources and lower our carbon footprint.
A choice we make every day for the sake of our environment, our children, and our guests.
Sustainability has become a key aspect of our daily work and decision-making. As entrepreneurs, we have a particular responsibility towards the environment and our community. This calls us to take concrete steps against climate change and the scarcity of resources, and a sustainable approach is the only way forward to ensure success in the long-term.
As members of the Seefeld region’s Plateau Pioneers group, we are investing in a future-proof strategy based on the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda framework (Sustainable Development Goals). This will provide the guidelines for our sustainable development, present and future.
Our hotel’s renovation project provided the basis for some first, important steps towards sustainability:
In 2022 our utility systems were rebuilt from scratch, allowing for a reduction of over 25% in energy consumption.
Additionally, the building was provided with full thermal insulation, and the existing solar-powered water heating system was upgraded with a large photovoltaic system in 2022.
We already have a lot planned for the coming years. During the intensive workshops organised by the Seefeld region’s Plateau Pioneers, we developed a shared sustainability strategy for the whole holiday area – a strategy we are already working on tirelessly.
We also set very ambitious goals for ourselves from here to 2030, with measures we are already starting to implement. This is not just about doing business in a more sustainable way – it’s about working together and promoting social cohesion.
In this effort, we are supported by scientific specialists in the federal state of Tyrol.
